Is it because Dreaming is better than the Reality? Or is it the other way around?

Science says that People were less happy when daydreaming than when they were focused on the task at hand. Other studies indicate a wandering mind is more common when our mood is low, and that it can enhance feelings of depression.
Whereas Science also says, Daydreaming Is Good for the Mind. People with more working memory can stay on task, even when thinking about other things. If this happens often you probably have a pretty capable working memory, new research suggests. This mind wandering, it seems, actually gives your working memory a workout.
I feel its both ways!
I Daydream mostly when either I have nothing to do or when I am depressed and I dont want to face the reality but, very recently I realised that this way we become less productive and we lose focus.
Even if you like to day-dream you should know how to detach yourself from it and get back to the reality.
I have very often seen people lost in their thoughts be it on the metro or bus or even while walking in the mall and most of them either look stressed or they just dont have anything else to do.
The amount of time we spend in daydreaming can become productive as well if we try to practice meditation. Yes, it helps.
1) Meditation
2) Get up and walk around
3) Commit your time into something that requires focus
4) Sleep well
5) Try to give up stress slowly through exercises or talking to someone.
